Spring melt and fall storms push groundwater against Central Maine foundations. We stop it at the source, then move what remains to a pump.
A perimeter channel collects water at the footing before it reaches the floor. It works on poured, block, and stone walls common around Bangor and Hampden.
The pump is what actually removes the water. We size it to the inflow, add a battery backup for storm outages, and discharge away from the house. Sump pump installation in Bangor.
Freeze-thaw opens hairline leaks in poured walls. We seal them from the inside and add drainage when pressure stays high. Foundation crack repair in Bangor.
Dimple board and a sealed vapor barrier keep residual moisture off the wall. Pair with crawl space encapsulation when the space is unfinished.

“I've used Nick for all of my insulation and waterproofing needs and he's never failed me. Always on time, always polite, always a good price. I have nothing but amazing things to say about him and his team. We recently got our house re-insulated and it cut more than half of our heating bill.”
Basement water usually comes from hydrostatic pressure (groundwater pushing against the foundation), surface water from roof runoff or grading, condensation, or a plumbing leak. We find the source during a free inspection and recommend the right fix.
Interior waterproofing collects water that reaches the basement and moves it to a sump pump. Exterior waterproofing keeps water away from the foundation with French drains and downspout drainage. Interior systems cost less and disrupt less; severe problems may need both.
If water is getting into your basement, almost always yes. The pump removes what the drainage system collects before it can flood the floor. We recommend a battery backup so the pump keeps running when a storm knocks the power out.
Most interior drainage and sump pump installations in the Bangor area are finished in one to three days. Foundation crack injection is usually a single visit. We give you a schedule with your written estimate.
Dry basements do not grow mold. Once the water source is controlled, existing mold can be remediated by our IICRC and MICRO certified crew, and humidity stays down. Many customers pair waterproofing with basement insulation for a warmer, drier space.
